This book is a huge disappointment. However, it was easy to read. I expected a lot of action between the characters but it was more of a sweet love story. The dialogues between the main character Bree and the authorities of the city council stays superficial.
During the discoveries about the secrets of Sea Haven, she’s only screaming ‘No’ and kicking in each direction to the city council. She never wondered by herself ‘why’ they act as they do. At the end of the book the reader understands the cause.
In a night Bree finds a merman on the beach. After this meeting she’s called at the city Council. They send her away without any further information or an explanation. In order to do that, the authorities ripped away her magic, without her consent.
After she was send away, she’s determined to find her vial of magic and take back what is hers. Will she succeeds in her mission?
