Every dog has a gift

True stories of dogs who bring hope & healing into our lives

It’s a wonderful book that I read in 2 days because the content of the stories where so intense and touch full. It is easy to read for an outsider, because there are no difficult words in the little stories of the described persons. The reader will learn wat dogs can do for elderly people, kids or persons with any kind of disabilities n a physical or in a mental way. Also, the personal testimonies show a great inner strength of the persons.

The book also spends some pages what volunteers can do for the society with their own dog. First, you will learn the conditions for participating their program. Than under supervision you will learn to educate your pet how to behave during the therapy sessions. Together with your own dog you visit schools, for a reading skills of the children, or children who trust nobody because their violence or an abused past or helping recovery from an accident.

This book is the evidence how import dogs can be for people. It has been scientifically proven that dogs can often reach more at patients than professionals usually cannot achieve with official therapy. Animals play often an important role in the development of children, especially when the kids are in special need. Like supporting children with autism in their daily life.
