Nightrise - The Power of Five 3

Who's alive tomorrow?

This is the third part of the five-part series "The Power of Five". After excellent previous parts, this part was very disappointing. It was a struggle to get through. The story was put together messy and chaotic way. A lot of fidding with three different time periods plus various worlds where the reader has to guess which time period it concerns during his reading. In addition, the author uses the concept of time creatively to make it even more complicated than it already is.

In addition, much of the book was devoted to describing a bloody battle against the Ancients who want to damn mankind and revolve the world in its misery. I really hate battles in a story. I hope the next part is better, otherwise I'm done with it.

In this story, the reader is introduced to the following two teenagers, Jamie and Scott Tyler. They can read each other's thoughts. With this they earn their money. The dark organization Nightrise is looking for children with special gifts, because they may be the fearful gatekeepers. Scott is captured and ends up in a special prison. But Jamie manages to escape. With all his effort and willpower, he tries to find his brother. Will he succeed in time?
