It’s a nice story about a woman who decided to nurture a coyote because he’s orphan. In Wyoming coyotes will be killed because farmers see them as treat for their livestock. There is really no intermediate way possible according to the residents.
The author has a special way of writing, with a lot of humor, sometimes with an innocence and naive attitude to her wild ‘pet’. However, some parts are a bit long stringy describes with imagery about the environment and she writes extensively how the atmosphere is in the small town. I found that distracting while reading.
In this book is she writing about Charlie, the coyote, in his first year of life. About his adaption as a pet and how his behavior was changing when he was going to be adult. I was not surprised about the problems she told in her book because a coyote is still not a domesticated animal and other side in the way he is raised you can suspect such problems with regarding of domination in a pack.
There are many beautiful photo’s of the nice and little Charlie.
