The lucky ones

My passionate fight for farm animals

I loved this book with her beautiful stories. The author makes a personal development in her life. The book has three serious storylines. The first part is focused on her autobiography in which her cancer in her leg is central during her teenage years.

The second part is about the animals with their special background and how they become residents of her its sanctuary. So, every animal has its own drama story but in this case with a happy ending.

The third storyline deals with the terrible living conditions and abuses of the animals in the farm factory and at the entertainment. I think it's great that the author pays attention to this subject because that is one of the biggest problems all over the world in our current time. It is of course crazy that the meat industry gets subsidies. Thus, meat is cheaper in relation to vegetables. How illogical is this? This problem is still being ignored by the governments. That is why this information is so important.

This book indicates once again: where there is a will, there is a way. She, the author Jenny Brown, cannot be stopped by her handicap. Her strength is not only passion but also a good dose of perseverance. Because believe me, that it is hard and heavy work on a sanctuary.
